Rovers Codes of Conduct, Safeguarding Children and Discipline Procedures
The Club's Codes of Conduct are set out below. Players, coaches and parents (for youth players under 18) should review these codes and are required to acknowledge the contents, and confirm adherence to the principles set out therein, by signing and returning to the Club Welfare Officer the acknowledgement form below, or by signing the Player Registration Form (which also includes the Social Media Consent). If you do not have a Registration Form, or cannot print the form below, speak to your coach who will be able to obtain a copy for you.
The Codes of Conduct include at Section 6 the Club's Social Media Policy, which has been updated in January 2017 following new Guidance Notes issued by the GFA. Parents/carers of any Under 18 players are asked to review this new Policy, and will be asked by the coach appointed to their player's team to complete and sign the attached Social Media Consent Form if they are happy for their son/daughter/ward to be included in the relevant social media application.
Also shown below are the Club's Policies on Safeguarding Children and the Disciplinary Process. If anyone wants any further information on these policies feel free to contact the Club Welfare Officer.
(The PDF documents are attached below and can be downloaded if you wish to print copies).
Update December 2017
The GFA has recently issued a Guide to Safeguarding Reporting and a copy of the FA's Respect Guide on the use (or potential misuse) of photos and videos in the football environment. At Rovers we take all these matters very seriously, and may take action if we observe any inappropriate action or behaviour at the club/Port Soif grounds, or generally have any concerns on the welfare of players. See the below Guides for further details ![]()
